Why I made it

My friends and I decided to do a Hetalia skit for Sakuracon 2011. Although Hetalia is sometimes looked down upon for it's crazy fan base, I think the show is absolutely hilarious!

How I made it

I commissioned this costume from my friend, Kayla! I made the "amazing" flag, which was made using a broken paint brush, wrinkled fabric, acrylic paint and an unfinished dowel rod.

Final thoughts

I was a little baffled by how many people seem to love Sealand. He's an adorable character, don't get me wrong, but he shows up in the series for 5 minutes! It was a little surprising, but in a good way! My favorite part is the Donald Duck hat.
